mostly incidental music

the latest release was constructed as (mostly) a collection of music and songs that would form just the right background or to various moments or scenes. the scenes range from a walk through the park, escape, establishing shots, a night out at a club, and self-reflection, for example. the album was meant to be a focus on one style of music (won't say which one) but curtailed into a mix of this and that as the imagined scenes drove the music rather than the other way around.

the wellness institute

the wellness institute is a much more song based klangmoss album, with a number of instrumentals still littered in there. the music travels from in the garden, into the house, and into the self, attempting to tell stories about a few characters along the way.

suite for piano, flute, and vibraphone

does what it says on the tin. klangmoss tries to get classy on this release. inspired by folks such as Samuel Barber, Gunther Schuller, Claude Debussy, and John Zorn's Gnostic Trio, while not trying to proclaim sounding like any of them. a short diversion that was quite personally rewarding to prepare for a create.

additional material available via bandcamp...

originally two Volumes/EPs, brought together as one. containing some bits of kind of indie rock, with a walk through the gardens of Sydney City, and some thinly veiled attempts at appearing refined.

originally two Volumes/EPs, brought together as one. some piano, keys, mandolin, table thumping, and electronics to go along with the guitar, bass, and drums, and some breakfast.

the first solo release. some alternative (to what? I don’t know) tunes, some acoustic tunes, strings, vocals through effects (just because), some keyboards because they fit in places, and the sounds of wind and Fairfield station. it felt right.
